The first park dedicated to the memory of the Philippines national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal is due to open soon--June 21, 2014 to be exact. As part of the celebration for Philippines Heritage Week, the community is set to celebrate the unveiling of the features of the park. A unique memorial made of Manitoba boulder, along with a beautiful patio feature, associated pathways and a park shelter will be unveiled. The event starts at 10:30 am.
